Sorry for the confusion. A global village is sort of like a homeroom. We're a group of 10 students who are going to meet once each day of the conference to discuss the conference, relevant issues, whatever is on the agenda for the day. It's completely student led and there will be no teachers/advisors sitting with us.

Hey Noah,

I'm Kyrena from ISB and you're a member of my global village. Firstly I'd like to welcome you to my school and to Bangkok.

I'm a global village leader for the upcoming GIN conference next week. Global villages are small groups compromised of delegates of different schools. We will meet once a day for an hour to discuss relevent topics. As you, in addition to 8 other delegates, are a member of my global village I wanted to greet you before formally meeting you next week.

I'll tell you a little bit about myself: I'm a junior and have been at ISB for 7 years. My friends call me Ky and I play for our school soccer team. I take various dance classes and am also on the school dance team.

If you have any questions or just want to talk feel free to contact me.
See you next week,
Ky

Who is someone who inspires you? And why?
Ibu Harahap. Ibu Harahap is a passionate enviromentalist who loves mangroves. She has been working on a project for over 10 years now, to help preserves a mangrove sanctuary in the densly populated Jakarta. I am to lucky to have the oppurtunity to work along side her for the past couple months in my be the change project. No matter how much she is pressured by the government or companies, she still strives to protect Jakarta's last mangrove forest.
