Welcome to the Global Issues Conference 2010 Know, Care, Act! – GIN March 19th – 21st Conference Structure This year’s GIN Conference will retain many of the familiar elements of our previous events and will introduce new ways for students to participate and communicate their passion for Global Issues.

How many Students can attend the GIN Conference from one school? Schools can bring up to 15 students with two accompanying facilitators. This change has been made to enable schools to obtain group air tickets and lower the cost of travelling to the Conference.

The Film.
Each school is to submit a film of up to 3 minutes long before the conference starts. A panel of judges made up of professionals and peers will assess how each film develops the Conference theme of Know, Care, Act! The best films will be shown to the entire conference before and after the Key Note Addresses and all films will be shown during the conference.

Team Presentations
Each school will have the option of giving a 30-minute presentation on a Global Issue that they are working on. A sign up sheet will be issued to schools closer to the date. Schools are asked to provide an interactive presentation that uses the conference theme of Know, Care, Act!

Core Workshops
Students will move through the four Core Workshop during the Conference, these will be large group interactive simulations.

Global Village Groups
The Global Village Groups will allow students to debrief their presentation. and discuss experiential workshops.

2. Decide if you wish to provide a 30 minute team presentation on a global Issue that you are working on at school
